the new Lisa DualSense is basically live laugh love for your PS5

Saw the announcement this morning and had to bring it over here. Sony's been doing these limited DualSense drops for a while now, and the GTA 6 one they showed off earlier was bold, loud, exactly what you'd expect. This new Lisa controller is the complete opposite.

The touchpad has bangs and eyes drawn on it, meant to be her signature look. There are stars and "LL" lettering scattered around, all on the Chroma Pearl colorway. Sony says the design pulls from stuff that's personal to her. I'm not going to pretend I follow Blackpink closely, but the whole thing reads like someone put a motivational poster on a controller.

It's $85, same as the other limited editions. Preorders go live October 2 on PlayStation Direct, then it hits retailers October 30. And yeah, scalpers are already a known problem with the GTA 6 controller, so if you want this one, you'll probably be fighting bots too.

I keep thinking about how the GTA 6 DualSense had that Vice City energy, bright pinks and palm trees or whatever they ended up doing. This Lisa one is so subdued in comparison. It's almost funny to see them side by side in the same product line.

Would you actually rock this thing, or is the GTA 6 controller the only limited edition worth your $85?

The completionist brain in me hates these limited drops. Own one and suddenly you're tracking preorder windows like side activities with a checklist. Skip them all and your collection stays clean at zero percent, which is somehow easier to live with.

I think you're being a little harsh on the design, though. Going off the GameSpot description, the Chroma Pearl with small "LL" lettering is at least restrained. The GTA 6 one went loud and neon, which fits Vice City, but that thing would look ridiculous on my shelf a year from now. Different audiences. Not every controller needs to scream.

The real problem is $85. That's more than the Standard Edition of GTA 6 itself, and the controller won't add a single percent to my completion tracker. I'm out on both of them.
