gamestop pulled the gta 6 preorder signs with the collector map mention, employee now says it should be included

Went back to the same GameStop today after yesterday's post got way more attention than I expected. A few outlets picked it up, which was already weird for a handwritten sign in a strip mall.

All the GTA 6 preorder signs from my original post are gone. Not just the one with the map. All of them. They got replaced with some other game's promo, I think MW4 stuff. I didn't take pictures because I was the only customer in the store and it felt weird.

The employee who gave me the confident confirmation yesterday was a lot more careful today. I asked about the physical collector's map again and he said it should come with the map. Not the same energy. He also mentioned the signs came down after a meeting yesterday.

For anyone who missed the first post, the sign listed a physical collector's map, the Vintage Vice City Pack, Ultimate Edition DLC available on pickup, and early pickup one week before release. The Vintage Vice City Pack is already confirmed as a preorder bonus, but the collector map and early pickup part were new to me and not listed anywhere I could find online.

I still don't have official confirmation the map is included. I don't know why the signs got pulled or what the meeting was about. My best guess is an employee got creative with the signage to drive preorders and corporate noticed after the post blew up. That's pure speculation though.

Kind of a bummer because a physical map would be a nice touch for a game set in Leonida. I'd frame it next to the GTA 5 one if they actually did it.

Does anyone else's GameStop still have the signs up, or did they all disappear at once?
