Saw this pop up from Insider Gaming, short piece but the headline grabbed me. They're saying the campaign story for GTA 6 revolves around quitting crime.

That's a wild departure if true. Every GTA since 3 has been about climbing the ladder, building an empire, getting revenge. Tommy, CJ, Niko, Michael, Franklin, Trevor. They all end up deeper in. Even in V, Franklin gets out but it's more of an escape than a quit. This sounds like Lucia and Jason trying to leave the life behind while it keeps pulling them back.

Maybe it ties into the whole Bonnie and Clyde vibe. You can't just walk away from that kind of heat. And with Leonida being this big sprawling state, running from your past while doing jobs to survive? That could hit different.

I know some people want the rags to riches arc again, but I think Rockstar's been moving toward more personal stories. RDR2 was about Arthur trying to be better. This could be a similar energy in a modern setting.

Not much else in the article, just that line about quitting crime. But if it's true, sign me up. A GTA where the main characters actively want out from the jump feels fresh. Especially with two protagonists, you could have one wanting out more than the other.

We'll see if anything official confirms it. For now it's a rumor, but a good one.
