Man says he was fired after leaking GTA 6 ads worth $4 million

Caught this on Dexerto, apparently some guy is saying he got canned after those GTA 6 ads on Miami Beach leaked early. The figure floating around is $4 million worth of ad space, which is insane for a billboard campaign.

He says he understands why they let him go. Not much else in the article, no details on what his actual job was or how the ads got out. But if you've been following the Miami ad sightings the past few weeks, this kind of fills in a gap. Someone on the inside clearly couldn't keep it to themselves.

I don't know if I'd be that calm about losing a job over a video game ad, even if it is GTA 6. The hype is real but four million dollars in ads is a lot of money to have walking out the door because one person got excited.

Rockstar's marketing has been weirdly loose this cycle, between the crude ads and now this. Makes you wonder how much they actually care about keeping billboards under wraps when the game is a month out. Anyway, hope the guy lands somewhere decent, but yeah, I get why they fired him.
