Horses and dogs in GTA 6? RDR2 already showed us what they can do

We all know horses were cut from V — those audio files are still floating around. And dogs in RDR2 are basically a masterclass in animal AI. So it's not a stretch to think Rockstar might finally pull the trigger for Leonida.

I'd drop 10k on a dog in Online without blinking if I could train it to attack. Picture this: some bounty hunter rolls up on you, and before he even gets out of the car, two pitbulls are already sprinting at him. The real fun would be the aftermath — people get genuinely unhinged when you shoot their dog. The lobby would turn into a warzone over a virtual pet.

Horses are a whole different kind of chaos. Imagine riding one down Ocean Beach and a sports car clips you at 90mph. The physics alone would be worth the price of admission. I don't even care if they're practical, I just want to see the pileups.

Rockstar's been sitting on this tech for years. If they don't use it now, with a map that's got swamps and rural stretches, I'll be kinda disappointed.

I'd rather they nail the map logic first. Los Santos never felt big enough for horses (unless you count the Vinewood Hills loop). Leonida's different. You've got north Grassrivers swampland and rural stretches east of Port Gellhorn where a horse actually fits. Dogs? Sure. Put them near the Ocean Beach boardwalk for chaos (and the inevitable pileups).

Could a dog aggro glitch turn every NPC in Grassrivers hostile? I'm betting that would stress test the wanted system.

This. So much this. Back in 2004 we were modding horses into San Andreas and the map didn't even make sense for them. Leonida's built different. Dogs though... I don't need another thing for griefers to weaponize. Give me a horse and some backroads and I'm good.

fr this is exactly why most hardcore RP servers will ban attack dogs day one unless theres some heavy whitelist mechanic. ive seen char builds centered around a dog in fivem and its always either god-tier cringe or straight powergaming. horses tho? thats the real win for backcountry RP. imagine running moonshine through Grassrivers on horseback because the swamps eat your suspension. no engine noise, no license plate, cops cant trace shit. thats a proper char build right there. dogs should stay cosmetic or NPC only. let me pet the boardwalk strays and keep it moving.
