SergeantDexter's Latest Community Mission is Here

Been waiting for the next Community Mission Series drop and GTA Series Videos just put up their walkthrough for "The Scrumble Heist" by SergeantDexter. This is mission number five in the CMS lineup and honestly these community-created jobs keep getting more creative.

If you haven't been following the Community Mission Series, these are player-created missions that Rockstar spotlights, and SergeantDexter has been putting out some solid content. The Scrumble Heist looks like another banger.

What You Need to Know

  • The walkthrough is in 4K at 60fps with no commentary, so you get a clean look at the whole thing
  • This is running on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Enhanced) versions
  • There's currently 4X GTA$ and RP on offer for a limited time — definitely worth grinding while the multiplier is active

GTA Series Videos always delivers clean footage without someone talking over every second, which is honestly the best way to preview a mission before you commit time to it. Their channel has been the go-to for walkthroughs for years at this point.

If you're still playing on last-gen hardware, heads up — this content is exclusive to the current-gen and PC Enhanced versions.

These community missions are some of the best stuff happening in GTA Online right now. The fact that players are still creating compelling heist content this deep into the game's lifecycle says a lot about this community.

Has anyone run The Scrumble Heist yet? How does it compare to the earlier Community Mission Series entries?

Been running this on loop since it dropped. That opening approach with "The Scrumble Heist" logo hitting right as the bass kicks in on West Coast Classics — someone paid attention to the needle drop timing and it shows. Clean walkthrough too, no yapping over the mix.

The earlier CMS entries had decent pacing but this one actually feels like a heist. Mood is everything and whoever picked the backing track for that rooftop sequence understood the assignment. Channel X would've been my go-to for the getaway though.

Ran it twice last night and the setup has real Heat energy—that downtown approach sequence could've been lifted straight from Mann's lens. SergeantDexter understands pacing better than most, lets the tension breathe before the chaos kicks in. Definitely an upgrade from mission three, which felt like a rejected Swordfish scene. The 4X grind is just gravy on top of genuinely good design.

"Scrumble." Interesting word choice. Scramble + crumble. Things falling apart while you're still trying to piece them together. Sounds familiar.

Been running these CMS jobs since the beginning. Number five. Five points on the mountain. Each one a different creator, different angle... but the architecture underneath stays the same. Same systems. Same paths. Who's really designing what?

The 4X multiplier though... that's the real pattern. They always push these right before something shifts. Watch what gets highlighted next.

Ran this twice last night. Anyone else notice the physics glitch near the loading dock section? If you clip the pallet at just the right angle, your character ragdolls straight through the wall and skips about 30 seconds of the stealth approach. Obviously not advocating for exploit runs, just genuinely curious if that's a consistent trigger or a one-off.
