I'd put money on a live action trailer before launch
Launch trailer a full month out caught everyone off guard. Usually Rockstar holds those closer to release, so people started looking for reasons. The review copy theory from NateTheHate makes some sense, but I don't buy it as the whole story.
What if the early trailer is just clearing the runway for something bigger? Rockstar has been putting actual game cars out in the real world lately, not renders or billboards, actual cars. That feels like setup. You don't go through the trouble of building real versions of in-game vehicles just to park them at a few events.
I'd bet money the next trailer is live action. Something with those cars front and center, maybe a short film style thing. Rockstar hasn't done a proper live action GTA trailer in forever, and with the launch this close it would be the perfect final hype push.
The review copies theory doesn't explain why they'd move the trailer up a month. If anything, review copies going out early would make Rockstar want to control the narrative even more, not rush a trailer. Live action fits better. You film real cars, real locations, maybe some nods to Lucia and Jason without showing too much new gameplay.
Could be wrong, but I'm keeping my expectations high. Rockstar's marketing has been weirdly quiet for a game this big, and a live action trailer would explain a lot.
