GTA V was way too easy. I hope GTA 6 makes you think before you pull the trigger.

Replaying GTA V recently and it hit me just how trivial the combat is. You've got a weapon wheel with every gun in the game, infinite ammo basically, and enemies that fold like paper. Even the big set-piece missions that are supposed to feel intense just turn into a shooting gallery. I don't think I ever felt genuinely outgunned.

I'm not talking about the stealth, that was its own disaster. But the core gunplay? There's no tension when you can pull an RPG out of your pocket at any moment. I really hope GTA 6 borrows from RDR2 and limits what you can carry. Maybe a long gun on your back, a sidearm, and a couple throwables. Make you actually plan for a mission instead of scrolling through a menu mid-firefight.

Harder enemies would help too. Not just bullet sponges, but smarter AI that flanks, uses cover, and doesn't announce their position every two seconds. I want a shootout to feel desperate, like I might actually lose if I'm careless. That's what made the older GTAs so memorable — you had to be sharp.

I'm not asking for a mil-sim, just something that makes the action feel weighty. If I'm walking into a gang hideout, I should be nervous. Right now, I'm more worried about scratching my car than dying.
