GTA 6 Online: what's the real upgrade beyond graphics?

Gunplay is the big one for me. I barely touch Online now because the shooting feels so stiff. RDR2 was a step in the right direction, but I'd love something closer to Mafia 3 — that game had weighty, satisfying combat that kept me coming back just for the firefights. If Rockstar can blend that feel with their animation quality, we're in for a treat.

Beyond the microtransaction talk and whether they'll charge a separate fee for Online, I keep thinking about the AI. There's been chatter about some proprietary system that adapts to how you play, creating a unique experience for each person. Sounds wild for a massive multiplayer world, but if anyone can pull it off, it's them. Current gen hasn't really been pushed to its limit yet, so maybe that's where the secret sauce is.

The social media stuff in the trailers makes me think there'll be a reputation layer. Your actions could determine what kind of lobbies you end up in — act like a griefer, get thrown into servers with hostile NPCs and other troublemakers. A sort of soft karma system that shapes the world around you without feeling too gamey.

And with how real everything looks now, I bet the police response will be brutal. No more stealing a jet and getting a two-star wanted level. They'll probably make you think twice before going on a rampage, which could actually make the chaos more fun when you do cut loose.

Let Los Santos keep its stiff gunplay. I'm just hoping caves north of Ambrosia (real ones, not textures) reward exploration.

Gunplay's gotta feel heavier, I agree. But I like what MapNerd said.

real ones, not textures

The Leonida Keys remind me some places here in Brazil, so I hope they fill those caves with actual secrets. And if the police AI is really smarter, hiding in Grassrivers might actually matter.

This. So much this.

real ones, not textures

That's pure 2004 forum hunting energy. We used to tear apart Vice City for hidden interiors with nothing but rumors and patience. Actual caves in Ambrosia would bring that back. Just don't let the smarter AI turn cops into griefers with a paycheck.
