tan lines and sweat might be the real weather system flex
Caught some details in the footage we've seen so far and I think Rockstar's climate stuff might go deeper than I expected.
Lucia's got visible tan lines in the beach shots. That alone is wild if it means sun exposure actually changes your character's skin over time. Like you spend a few in-game days at the beach and come back looking different. Jason's sweating in Trailer 2 too, and the extended look had that bald guy with a sunburn on his head. If those aren't just cutscene tricks, we're looking at dynamic reactions to heat and humidity.
RDR2 already had clothing tied to cores, wear a winter coat in the swamp and your stamina drains. But that felt stat based. GTA 6 might make weather physically alter the characters. Sweat soaking into clothes, skin tanning or burning, idle animations like wiping your face or fanning yourself when it's hot. Rain making people hunch over or shield their heads. That kind of stuff would sell Leonida way more than a hurricane set piece.
I'm also hoping heatwaves and storms mess with stamina and movement speed. Not in an annoying way, just enough that you feel the climate. And if the in-game phone gets a weather app with live forecasts, planning around a storm before a mission would be a nice touch. NPC dialogue reacting to whatever's happening outside would tie it together too.
Hurricanes are cool for spectacle but the granular body details are what'll make me actually live in that world. Rockstar's done this before with horse balls shrinking in RDR2, so I wouldn't put it past them.
