anyone else hoping the dslr camera makes a comeback in gta 6?
Spotted something in the new Game Informer screenshot and now I can't stop thinking about it. Looks like a DSLR might be sitting right there, and if that's the case we could finally graduate from the phone camera we've been stuck with since GTA 4.
The camera has been around in this series for ages. San Andreas had free roam photography, Vice City had a mission with it, and GTA Online's nature photography side activity felt like Rockstar testing the waters. Now with that confirmed feature where you can punch NPCs and take what they were carrying, plus the unpredictable NPC population they keep talking about, a proper camera tool would fit right in.
I'm already imagining the photo opportunities. Mud clubs, car meets, street photography through Leonida. The state looks ridiculous in every shot we've seen so far. If the camera can be used while someone else drives, you could have Lucia or Jason behind the wheel while you snap cop chase pictures from the passenger seat. That alone would make it worth it.
Question is how complex they'd make it. Just a simple point and shoot, or full manual controls like focus and exposure? GTA Online's nature photography was pretty basic but the foundation is there. I'd love to document a whole playthrough through photos, like a travel log of the state.
What are you hoping to shoot first if the camera comes back, and how deep do you think they'll go with it?
