grassrivers hunters got me thinking about hunting in gta 6

RDR2's butcher system was fine but shallow. Sell meat, get a few bucks, move on. I keep wondering if GTA 6 will actually do something with hunting beyond a checkbox activity.

Rob Nelson confirmed hunting is in the game during those interviews, but I don't remember him going into depth about selling or what you do with the carcasses. The Grassrivers photos from the trailers, those guys look like they hunt for a living. Not just sport. So maybe that's where the mechanic gets introduced to the player, you roll up to their camp and they teach you the ropes or buy your kills.

What I'd really want is exotic animals with big payouts. Like the elephant rifle from RDR2 Online, special ammo for bigger game, maybe a whole side activity where you track something rare across the swamp. Not just shoot a deer and drop it off. Something with a little more weight to it.

Could be a free roam thing too, not locked behind a mission. Just wander into the Grassrivers, find a hunter, and he tells you what he's looking for. You go get it, come back, get paid. That loop would keep me busy for hours if the rewards are decent.

Would you guys actually spend time hunting if the payouts were worth it, or is this just a nice-to-have that most players will ignore?

My question is the physics angle, honestly. Do carcasses ragdoll on your hood when you drive off? RDR2 had persistent stowing, so maybe. Could be fun to test.

Got a take on this?
