do we think jason and lucia can buy properties after the story wraps up
Caught the new TGG video where he was going over stuff we still haven't gotten solid answers on, and properties/businesses came up. Got me thinking.
We already know J&L can't just go buy a house mid-story because of their whole situation. Makes sense. They're on the run, crooked cops breathing down their necks, probably not filling out mortgage applications. I'd guess business ownership is the same deal during the main campaign.
But what about after it's all over? If we get an ending where one or both of them actually make it out clean, no more heat, does the game open up and let us take the Vercetti route? Tommy built an empire after his story wrapped. Would be cool to see something similar here, even if it's locked behind the epilogue.
I wouldn't be crushed if it's not there. Rockstar's clearly going for a different vibe with this one, more Bonnie and Clyde than Scarface. But at the very least, letting us dump cash into a front business for passive income would be a nice touch. By that point in the game you're probably sitting on more money than you know what to do with anyway, and pistol whipping clerks for the till gets old once you're loaded.
Honestly I'd take anything that gives the endgame some meat. GTA V had the stock market and property stuff but it felt half baked. If they're gonna do it for 6, I hope it's more fleshed out. Even just a handful of businesses with actual gameplay tied to them, not just a number that goes up every in-game week.
Curious what everyone else thinks. Would you want the full property empire thing, or does that clash with the tone they're going for?

Agreed that V's version felt half baked, and I think the problem was geographic. Los Santos properties were dots on a menu, you never felt like you owned an actual place. Leonida could fix that purely through variety. A bar in Vice City proper hits different than a bait shack down in the Keys or some warehouse up in Port Gellhorn (where presumably nobody asks questions about your tenants).
Ambrosia especially feels tailor made for a front business. Small town, one main street, cash flowing sideways. That's where I'd park post-story money. Lucia washing bills through a diner off the highway while Jason runs boat tours out of the Keys, that's the fantasy.
My bet is it comes down to the map's whole design. Everything we've seen about the Grassrivers and the Keys screams keep moving, don't settle. Hideouts, sure. A deed with your real name on it? Doubt it.
