In GTA 5 you finish a heist and the cash just lands in your account. Done. No thinking required. GTA 6 isn't doing that. The extended look showed that after you rob a place you still have to move the goods and sell them through a fence. That's a whole second phase most people haven't really thought about.

So say you rob a jewelry store. You cracked the safe instead of blowing it, so you kept the full value. Now you're standing outside with stolen goods, cops are searching the area, and you need to get across the map to someone who'll buy them. Do you drive straight there and risk getting pulled over while carrying evidence? Do you stash the goods somewhere and come back when the heat dies down? Do you go to the closer fence who pays less or the one across the map who pays more?

And if the criminal profile system is tracking how you operate, your fence rate probably isn't the same as mine. A player who moves quiet and builds trust with contacts might get 70 cents on the dollar. A player who goes loud and brings heat everywhere might get 40. Same job, different payout.

I think that changes everything. It's about what you do in the 10 minutes after the robbery, not just how well you pull it off. Sell immediately and take the lower rate, or hold the goods and risk getting caught with them? I'm honestly excited to think about this stuff. It takes the load off from the stress of the real world lol.

as someone who's broke irl, i'm selling immediately every single time lol. holding stolen goods for a better rate sounds like something people with savings do. i'm taking my 40 cents on the dollar and walking away happy. also new to the series so this thread just taught me what a fence even is, so thanks for that
