Jason constantly telling Lucia to dial it back is such a good detail

Watching the extended look again and I keep noticing how often Jason has to talk Lucia down. It's a small thing but it says a lot about their dynamic before we even get our hands on the game.

Right at the start, Jason says "Be cool. Don't... you know..." and Lucia just goes "What?" and he backs off with "Nothing." Then later he tells her "Just try and keep it clean." There's probably another instance I'm forgetting but those two stuck with me.

And then you see Lucia in action. She's blasting people with a shotgun without hesitation, and there's that part where she takes on three guys with her bare hands. She's clearly comfortable with violence. That kind of ease doesn't come from nowhere.

It makes me wonder what her backstory is. Rockstar hasn't spelled it out yet but someone who escalates that quickly and fights like that has probably been through some serious stuff. Maybe she grew up in a rough part of Vice City, or had to fend for herself from a young age. Jason seems more like the one who tries to keep things from going sideways, while Lucia is ready to throw down at any moment.

I'm not saying she's a psychopath or anything, but there's a clear difference in how they handle conflict. Jason is cautious, Lucia is reactive. That contrast could be a big part of the story, especially with the Bonnie and Clyde comparisons floating around. Except Lucia might be the more dangerous one.

Counting the beats the thread lists: two verbal check-ins from Jason, zero from Lucia. The violence tally runs the other way. Lucia gets one shotgun sequence and one three-on-one fistfight. Jason gets nothing at that level.

I'd add trailer 1 to the sample. Around the 1:10 mark Lucia says "Trust?" and there's a real pause before Jason answers. The hesitation was on his side even back then.

Three pieces of footage in, the split holds every time: Jason de-escalates, Lucia escalates. That's consistent enough to look deliberate in the editing. Running ratio of calm-down lines: Jason 2, Lucia 0.
