New Community Mission: Paleto Bay Slasher by Shadow-Break (4X Rewards)

Paleto Bay Slasher - Community Mission Series #4 is Live
Hey everyone, just spotted the latest community-created mission drop for GTA Online. This time we're heading up to Paleto Bay with Shadow-Break's creation: Paleto Bay Slasher.
If you've been keeping up with the Community Mission Series, this is number four, and it looks like another solid addition. There's something fitting about a slasher-themed mission set in Paleto Bay — that foggy, small-town vibe up north was practically made for horror vibes.
Platform & Rewards
This one's exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Enhanced). If you're still rocking last-gen, you're out of luck on this one. The good news? There's a 4X GTA$ and RP bonus running for a limited time, so you'll want to grind this sooner rather than later if you want that multiplier.
GTA Series Videos has a clean no-commentary walkthrough in 4K/60fps if you want to preview the mission before diving in or if you're stuck on any section.
Quick reminder: Community missions are player-created content that Rockstar highlights, so big props to Shadow-Break for getting featured.
I haven't run this one yet, but I'm definitely curious how the slasher theme plays out mechanically. Is it more of an atmospheric hunt, or are we talking straight-up combat encounters?
Who's already played through Paleto Bay Slasher, and how does it compare to the previous community missions?

4X multiplier makes this worth a look purely from a $/hr standpoint. Community missions usually pay decent base RP but mediocre cash, so the multiplier is doing heavy lifting here. Quick question for anyone who's run it: what's the completion time looking like? If it's under 15 minutes with that 4X stacked, we're talking competitive numbers versus a Cayo run on cooldown. Probably not dethroning the nightclub warehouse sweep for passive income, but active grind sessions? Could be solid filler between heist cooldowns.
Honestly I'm just here for that 4X cash – engine swaps ain't cheap and my Elegy needs a new turbo setup. But real talk, the drive up to Paleto is underrated territory for testing drift builds. Those winding roads through the hills? Perfect for seeing if your suspension tune actually works or if you're just sliding on wishful thinking.
Anyone running this mission, what vehicle are you taking up there? I'm debating between my modified Sultan RS or taking the Warrener out for some nostalgia runs.
Honestly, if you're running this one, do yourself a favor and kill the in-game radio. Paleto Bay at night with nothing but ambient fog and those distant tree creaks? That's the real soundtrack right there. Though if you need something underneath, WorldWide FM has this eerie late-night stretch that'd pair perfectly with a slasher hunt. Low-key, paranoid vibes.
Curious what the actual score is during the mission though — they ever nail that horror needle drop, or is it just standard action cues? That's what'll make or break the atmosphere. The original Slasher mode had that tension-building silence down cold.
Ran this twice last night with a full crew. The payout with 4X is solid — clearing it in under 12 minutes netted us close to 280k per run. Bring suppressed weapons and at least one person running thermal scope; visibility in the fog sections is brutal without it.
Role-wise, assign your best driver as getaway — the Paleto escape route has choke points that'll wreck you if everyone's scrambling blind. Comms are non-negotiable for the hunt phase.
Get on this before the multiplier drops.
