What if GTA 6 had a faction system where you pick street, corporate, or government?
Been thinking about how much they could do with branching storylines this time around. Not just a couple of big decisions, but a whole web of choices that actually change the way you play.
Imagine if the story wasn't one long linear path. You could have a ton of missions that only unlock based on earlier calls you made, so the game feels different every time you start over. Not just repetitive filler, but real alternate story branches that make the world feel reactive.
What if you could shape Lucia and Jason's whole lifestyle? Like, you could keep them as street-level hustlers, or push them into the corporate crime world, or even get tangled up with government agencies. Each path would have its own hierarchy to climb, its own enemies. Street guys would be dodging the feds and getting squeezed by the suits. Corporate types would have some protection but still be looking over their shoulder. And if you go the government route, you'd have power but every other faction would be gunning for you.
You'd probably need separate save files to really explore each one, kind of like how people do in RDR2 to keep Arthur in different chapters. That would add a ton of replay value.
And after the story ends, what if you could actually sign up for a job? The firefighter missions in GTA Online were a fun little addition, but imagine being able to become a cop in single player, or run a legit business, or keep hustling on the streets. It would give you a reason to stick around in Leonida long after the credits roll.
Rockstar hasn't hinted at anything this ambitious, but with the scale they're going for, it doesn't feel impossible. I'd love to see the world react to the kind of criminal you decide to be.
