the mt kalaga description says 'northern border' not 'shore' — gloriana believers might be onto something

I keep coming back to that one line from the official site about Mt Kalaga. "Up against the state's northern border." Not coast, not shore, not ocean. Border.

If Leonida is a peninsula, the northern edge would logically be the state line with Georgia (or whatever they call it in the HD universe). So why would they phrase it that way unless there's something on the other side? A mountain range that butts up against a land border makes way more sense than one that just stops at the beach.

I know the Gloriana thing has been beaten to death since the mapping project started, but this feels like one of those tiny word choices Rockstar doesn't make by accident. If Gloriana is even partially in the game, it'd be weird to stick the big national park entirely inside Leonida. You'd want it straddling the line, or mostly on the other side, so the map feels bigger than it actually is. Like how RDR2 gave us a taste of New Austin without making it the main event.

Maybe Mt Kalaga is the gateway. You can see it, you can climb it, but the far side is out of bounds or only accessible during certain missions. Or maybe the whole northern part of the map is Gloriana and we just don't know it yet.

What do you think — is Rockstar just being poetic with the word "border" or is there a chance we're getting a second state in some capacity?

rp factions are gonna eat good if theres actually land past that border. already drafting smuggler backstories for the crossing.

That's a tactical nightmare. A land border means checkpoint mechanics, spike strips, and air unit coordination. If Gloriana is accessible, the wanted system needs clear jurisdiction rules or pursuits will turn into AI chaos.

That's exactly the kind of op that needs a four-man setup. Spotter on overwatch, driver pre-staging a dirt bike, comms jammer to blind the checkpoint. If there's a second state, smuggling payouts better justify that level of heat.
