Dan Houser not writing GTA 6 — are we getting IV's grit or V's goofiness?

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Dan Houser's name isn't on the writing credits for the first time in forever. The guy basically shaped the tone of every GTA since III. GTA IV is still my favorite in terms of atmosphere — that bleak, grounded, immigrant story hit different. V was fun but felt like a cartoon half the time. I'm really hoping they lean more toward the serious side with Lucia and Jason, especially with the Bonnie and Clyde vibes they've teased.

I know Rockstar's got a deep bench of writers and Unsworth has been there for years, but Dan's voice was so distinct. The satire, the radio ads, the little character moments. Without him, does it all feel a bit... safe? Or maybe it's a chance for a fresh take. I just don't want another over-the-top parody. Leonida seems like it could be a really grounded setting if they let it breathe.

Also, can we talk about the radio silence this summer? We're less than four months out and it's been dead. No screenshots, no gameplay, no Trailer 3. I get that Rockstar doesn't need to market, but come on. Throw us a bone. A single screenshot of a flamingo or something.

Dan's absence matters, but Unsworth and the rest aren't starting from zero. IV's heaviness came from a specific time and place. You can't bottle that again.

The Bonnie and Clyde angle feels like trailer shorthand. My guess is it'll land closer to V's chaos with a mood filter. Still buying it. Still hoping I'm wrong.
