what happens when you actually run out of gas in gta 6?
Saw the TGG clip where you grab a getaway car after a robbery and the fuel gauge is basically on E. That got me thinking about what actually happens when you end up stranded somewhere with no gas.
If you're being chased, sure, you ditch it and jack the next car. But what if it's a car you actually want to keep? Do we get a gas can in the trunk? Can you call someone to bring fuel out to you? Or is a tow truck the only option when you're stuck on some back road?
Tires could make it worse. Say one blows mid chase and the car starts pulling hard to one side while sparks fly off the rim. Maybe you can limp it somewhere safe and swap the tire yourself. Or just keep driving until the wheel is completely destroyed and then you're really screwed. If you can't fix it, that's when you'd need to call for help or get it towed.
I'd love it if random NPCs actually noticed when you're broken down. Someone pulls over and offers to help push your car off the road or brings you a can of gas. If you sit on the freeway long enough, maybe a tow truck eventually shows up on its own to get you and the car out of there.
And the same thing happening to NPCs would be great. You're driving along and see some guy standing next to a dead car with the hood up or a flat tire. You could stop and give them a jump, help with the tire, give them a ride, or just keep going. Or pretend you're gonna help and rob them instead, which feels very GTA.
Where it happens probably changes everything too. Running out in Vice City is whatever, there's probably a gas station or a car to steal nearby. Running out way out in the middle of nowhere at night with nobody around could turn into a completely different situation.
And if you don't want to deal with any of it, just leave the car and steal another one. That's always the fallback.
Would you actually bother fixing a car you like, or is it always just steal the next one?
