hoods up, shades on the head, hat backwards? the new screenshots have me squinting at clothing details

someone over on the sub was staring at the new batch of screenshots and started wondering if we'll be able to mess with clothing on the fly. not just swapping outfits in a wardrobe menu, but actually pulling a hoodie up or down, sliding sunglasses onto your head, hanging them off a shirt collar, flipping a cap around. all in free roam, whenever you feel like it.

that's the dream, right? RDR2 let us do a bit of that but it was locked to the wardrobe. you had to go home to change how a shirt sat. kind of killed the spontaneity of it. if GTA 6 lets Lucia throw her hood up mid-chase or Jason push his cap back while leaning on a car, that's a whole different thing.

i went back and looked at the shots the poster was talking about. hard to say for sure whether it's a real hint or just good lighting and a well-posed character. screenshots are always going to look more deliberate than gameplay does. but the idea is fun to think about.

why it'd actually matter

little stuff like this is what makes a world feel alive. being able to adjust your fit on the fly sounds minor until you're walking into a robbery and want your face covered, then stepping out and pulling the hood back down. it's the kind of detail Rockstar used to obsess over in the RDR2 days, and honestly it's the kind of thing that separates a sandbox from a movie set.

i'm not fully sold that the screenshots prove anything. could just be character design choices we're reading too much into. but the speculation is half the fun at this point. we're close enough now that every pixel in a promotional shot gets dissected like it's a crime scene.

if it turns out we can flip a hat around in real time, i'll take back every complaint i've ever made about the wait. probably not though. probably i'll find something new to complain about within a day.
