Is Kodak Black actually in GTA 6? Insider Gaming weighs in on the cameo chatter

So the new screenshot batch has people squinting at NPCs and swearing one of them is Kodak Black. Insider Gaming put up a piece asking the obvious question: is the Florida rapper actually in the game, or are we all just pattern-matching on a blurry face in a crowd?

Short version from their writeup: it's not confirmed. The whole thing kicked off because folks thought the latest screenshots showed him somewhere in Leonida, and the article walks through whether that's real or just wishful thinking. I haven't seen anything from Rockstar backing it up, and I'd be surprised if they confirmed a cameo this way, through a random screenshot drop.

why this keeps happening

Leonida is Florida. Kodak Black is Florida. The math writes itself in people's heads, and every screenshot drop turns into a where's-waldo session. It's the same energy as people finding Bigfoot in the Grassrivers shots. Fun, harmless, and usually wrong.

Rockstar does love a real-world music tie-in though, so I get why the rumor has legs. Vice City was built on that stuff. But a licensed track in a radio station and a modeled character doing a cameo are two very different levels of commitment, and I haven't seen anything that points to the second one.

what I'd actually trust

Until Rockstar says something, or we get a proper look at the game, I'm filing this under fun speculation. The screenshots are gorgeous and I've been zooming in on them as much as anyone, but a shape in a crowd isn't a cameo.

If it turns out he's on a radio station in Leonida, that's a win either way.

Anyone else spot something in those screenshots they're convinced is a real person, or is it just me doing the squint test?
