despawning has me wondering how gta 6 handles stashed cars and gear

Was messing around in RDR2 again and got annoyed by the usual stuff. Hogtie some guy, walk off for a bit, come back and he's just gone. Same in GTA, you park a car, spin the camera, and it's vanished into the void. It got me thinking about what Rockstar has said for GTA 6.

I remember them talking about hiding a getaway vehicle near a planned robbery. If that's actually a system, I hope it means we can leave stuff around the map and come back for it later. Instead of a scripted mission thing where the game fakes it.

The real question is how much persistence we get. Can I stash a car in some alley in Port Gellhorn, drive across the map, do a bunch of missions, and still find it there? Or does it despawn the second you cross a district boundary? In RDR2, horses and pelts had similar problems. If you dropped a legendary pelt and reloaded, good luck.

What I'd really love is being able to park a few cars in certain spots with clothes in the trunk or a weapon hidden inside. Nothing crazy, just a backup ride with a change of clothes if things go sideways. Maybe stash some gear near a heist location so you don't have to carry everything at once.

I haven't seen any deep dive on this beyond the getaway car comment. No clue if it's tied to safehouses or if random spots work too. Rockstar likes to talk about immersion but then a car disappears because it's three feet too far from a road node.

I'll keep my expectations low. If they nail basic object persistence for vehicles and small stashes, that alone would make Leonida feel way more alive. If not, we'll be back to spinning the camera and hoping our car is still there.
