Two new Buffalos just dropped with the Safehouse in the Hills update

Been waiting for more Buffalo variants forever and Rockstar finally came through. The A Safehouse in the Hills update just added two new Bravado models to GTA Online: the Buffalo Cruiser and the Buffalo STX Pursuit.

Bravado Buffalo Cruiser

This one's giving classic muscle car vibes with a modern twist. Definitely looks like they went for a more laid-back, cruise-ready build compared to the older Buffalo models we've had sitting in our garages for years. Nice to see Bravado getting some love beyond the usual suspects.

Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit

Now this is the one that caught my eye. The Pursuit version looks like it means business. If you've been wanting a Buffalo that actually feels like it could chase down (or outrun) anything on the freeway, this might be it. The aggressive styling on the STX is a serious upgrade.

GTA Series Videos put together a clean 4K 60fps showcase with no commentary if you want to see both cars in detail before spending your GTA$:

  • Buffalo Cruiser starts at 0:00
  • Buffalo STX Pursuit starts at 3:26

Both cars are available now through the update. Worth checking the showcase before you commit your cash.

Which of the two are you picking up first, and does the STX Pursuit live up to the hype?

Finally a proper Buffalo pursuit model. The STX Pursuit is day-one for me — been running the old Buffalo as an unmarked for years and the handling was never quite right for sustained highway work. Curious to see how the pursuit spec compares to the Vapid Scout and Gauntlet Interceptor for actual chase scenarios. If the weight distribution holds up at speed, this could be the new go-to for LSPD loadouts. The Cruiser I'll pass on.

STX Pursuit all day. That thing screaming down the freeway with West Coast Classics dialled up? Perfect needle drop. The Cruiser's fine but it's giving me Sunday afternoon Radio Mirror Park vibes and I've already got three cars for that mood. The Pursuit actually feels like it belongs in a chase scene. Need to hear how the engine sounds at full throttle before I commit though—half these drops look great in the showcase and then sound like a vacuum cleaner in first person.

The STX Pursuit is interesting from a world-building angle. In GTA V, LSPD cruisers were almost exclusively localized around downtown LS and Vespucci. If this thing is meant to represent a highway pursuit unit, I want to know if Rockstar's actually updated patrol spawns on the great Senora freeway or Route 68. Nothing broke immersion faster than seeing the same Interceptor spawn patterns whether you were in Strawberry or out near Sandy Shores. The Buffalo EVX already felt like it belonged more on Vinewood Boulevard than anywhere else. Here's hoping the pursuit AI actually uses these on long stretches instead of the usual three-cars-spawn-at-the-nearest-intersection routine.

The STX Pursuit's front fascia treatment is interesting - that lower intake styling feels like a deliberate departure from the Bravado design language we've seen since GTA IV. Makes you wonder if Rockstar's updating Bravado's broader identity ahead of whatever comes next. The Cruiser's more relaxed proportions also suggest they're thinking about tiered model lines within manufacturers, not just throwing in random cars. Two distinct Buffalo variants with clear role separation? That's the kind of catalog depth that sticks around.
