Hurricanes in GTA 6? That Battlefield 6 water trailer got me thinking

Saw that new Battlefield 6 map trailer and the water physics looked incredible. Massive swells, boats getting tossed around, the whole thing. And it just made me wonder what Rockstar's been cooking for GTA 6's ocean.

We already know water is gonna be a huge part of the map. Leonida's got the Keys, the Everglades, all those coastal towns. The second trailer had that shot of the storm surge flooding the streets. So they're clearly putting work into how water behaves.

But what if they go all in on hurricanes? Not just a visual effect, but an actual weather event that changes the map for a while. Imagine a Cat 4 rolling in from the Atlantic, waves big enough to flip a yacht, debris flying through Vice Beach, NPCs boarding up windows or fleeing inland. You could be out on a boat mission and suddenly the radio crackles with a warning. That'd be next level.

I know people have been asking about hurricanes for years. The tech might finally be there. Rockstar's water physics in RDR2 were already impressive, and they've had extra time to push it further. If they nail the way boats interact with rough seas, the way waves break on different shorelines, it could make just cruising around feel dangerous and alive.

I'm not expecting a full storm-chasing sim, but even occasional hurricane events that force you to change your plans would be wild. Maybe they tie into the story too, like a heist that only works during a blackout caused by a storm. I'd be out there in a dinghy just to see how long I last.

Battlefield trailers always sell a flood. Then you boot up and it's a puddle.

Rockstar's water was great in RDR2, but a dynamic hurricane sounds like marketing bait. I'll expect one scripted storm mission and some heavy rain. Hope I'm wrong.
