How to Unlock the High Life 420 Outfit Solo - Stoner Survival Breakdown

Stoner Survival: Solo Guide for the High Life 420 Outfit
So Rockstar dropped another themed survival event and this one's got a sweet reward — the High Life 420 Outfit. The good news? You don't need a full squad to grind this out. GTA Series Videos put together a clean no-commentary walkthrough showing every wave solo, so if you've been struggling or just want to know what you're getting into before jumping in, this covers it all.
What You Need to Know
The Stoner Survival is the latest themed event in GTA Online, and completing all seven waves nets you the exclusive High Life 420 Outfit. Seven waves might sound manageable, but solo runs always have that tension where one mistake can snowball fast. The video runs through each wave start to finish:
- Wave 1 kicks off at the 0:32 mark
- Things start heating up around Wave 3 (5:57)
- Wave 7 is the real test — starts at 12:21 and goes the distance
Having the full run laid out like this is clutch because you can study enemy spawns, positioning, and timing without someone yapping over the gameplay. It's all in 4K 60fps too, so you can actually see what's happening.
Tips for Going Solo
While the video doesn't narrate strategies, watching the full clear gives you plenty to work with. Pay attention to cover usage and movement patterns between waves — that's usually what makes or breaks a solo survival run. The later waves get noticeably longer, with Wave 7 being a serious commitment, so pacing yourself and managing ammo is key.
If you've been away from GTA Online for a bit, themed survivals are one of the more chill ways to earn exclusive gear. No heist setups, no waiting on randoms — just you versus waves of NPCs.
Shoutout to GTA Series Videos for consistently putting out these clean reference guides. They've been doing this forever and their stuff is always reliable when you just want to see the content without filler.
Has anyone else cleared this solo yet? Curious what loadouts you all brought for the later waves.

Ran this solo last night — Wave 7 is genuinely rough if you get sloppy with positioning. One thing I noticed: enemies seem to have weird pathing around the central structure around wave 5+, sometimes bunching up in ways that look like they're getting stuck on geometry. Made for easy pickings with the Assault Shotgun, but felt like an AI quirk more than intended design.
Heavy Sniper for distant spawns, RPG for the dense wave 6 cluster, and mostly staying mobile between the two main cover spots. Anyone else notice the enemy accuracy taking a nosedive if you're crouched behind low cover? Felt like their cone spreads significantly compared to standing.
Honestly the later waves are where the enemy AI actually starts pressuring you like a proper wanted level ramp-up should. Wave 7 enemies flank and push aggressively — reminds me of how three-star pursuit units should behave but rarely do.
For loadouts I ran the Special Carbine with extended mag and the Heavy Sniper for picking off shooters on rooftops. Armor types matter more than people think too.
