GTA 4's driving was so much better than 5's. I really hope 6 goes back to that heavy feel.
Been replaying GTA 4 lately and man, the driving is just on another level. I know a lot of people complained about the "boaty" handling back in the day, but I always loved how weighty the cars felt. You actually had to brake before corners, couldn't just fly through everything at full speed. It made every drive feel like you were really behind the wheel, not just gliding over the road.
GTA 5 went way too arcadey for my taste. Cars stick to the ground like they're on rails, and you can pull off insane maneuvers without any real consequence. It's fun in its own way, but it never gave me that same sense of connection to the vehicle. I miss the suspension bouncing, the body roll, the feeling that a wrong move would send you spinning out.
With GTA 6 on the horizon, I'm really hoping Rockstar leans back toward that heavier, more realistic driving model. The setting in Leonida with all those long highways and swampy backroads would be perfect for it. Imagine cruising through the Grassrivers with a car that actually feels like it has mass, or taking a muscle car through Vice City streets where you have to respect the physics. That's the dream.
I get that some players prefer the snappier controls, but maybe there's a middle ground. Or just give us the option to tweak it. Either way, I'm crossing my fingers that the days of bumper-car handling are behind us.

"You actually had to brake before corners"
From a heist perspective that weight changes everything. In 5 you could run any muscle car as getaway because physics barely mattered. For 6 I want real mass, but keep it responsive enough for tight Vice City escapes. Distinct classes that don't all feel like go-karts. That's all I need.
