still no boobie ike in any trailer, what's rockstar hiding?

New trailer dropped today and I'm sitting here rewatching it like an idiot trying to spot Boobie Ike. Nothing. Again. This dude is literally on the cover art, front and center, and the first mission we saw in the extended look was basically built around him. Rockstar still hasn't shown him in a single frame of any trailer. How is that even possible at this point?

I get that Rockstar likes to keep some characters under wraps. They did it with Michael in GTA V for a while, but we at least saw him in the second trailer. Boobie has been teased since the cover art reveal and we're a month out from launch. The extended look showed a mission centered on him but somehow cut around his face or kept him off camera the whole time? That's deliberate. That's not an accident.

My guess is they're saving his full reveal for the actual game because he's way more important than we think. Maybe he's not just some side character. Maybe he's tied to Lucia's past or he's the one pulling strings in Vice City. The cover art placement suggests he's a major player, not some random NPC. Rockstar doesn't put random dudes on the cover next to the two protagonists unless they matter.

Or maybe they're worried about spoiling his role. If his face or his voice gives away a twist, they'd want to hide him completely. But that seems extreme for a game that's already shown a ton of story beats in the extended look. We've seen Lucia and Jason robbing places, running from cops, all that. But Boobie is off limits? Something's up.

I'm not complaining exactly. I kind of like the mystery. It gives me something to look forward to on November 19. But it's weird that a character on the box art has zero trailer presence. Even the launch trailer today, which was packed with new footage, didn't show him. At least not that I caught. Maybe he's in there for a split second and I missed it. Anyone else spot him?

What do you guys think Rockstar is doing with Boobie Ike? Saving him for the game on purpose or is there something else going on?
