What's with this trend of hating on GTA 6 and calling it slop?

I've been seeing this more and more on Twitter and Reddit lately, people lumping GTA 6 in with the yearly 2K releases and calling it slop. Like, what? I get that Rockstar does some greedy stuff. No physical edition for GTA 6 is a bummer, and GTA Online's monetization has been... a lot. But their actual single-player games? They're on a completely different level.

RDR2 was a masterpiece. GTA 5 was massive and still holds up. Rockstar takes years between releases and it shows. Calling GTA 6 slop before we've even seen real gameplay is just weird. It feels like people are hating for the sake of hating, or maybe it's all ragebait and I'm falling for it. If you're gonna criticize the game, at least have a real reason, you know?

I'm not saying Rockstar is perfect, but grouping them with the annual sports games is a stretch. Those are basically roster updates. GTA 6 has been in development for ages. The trailers alone show more ambition than most games. So what's driving this? Is it just pre-release cynicism, or is there something else going on?
