Made a neon-soaked supercut of GTA 6 footage and classic Miami movies to survive the Trailer 3 drought

Rockstar's still holding Trailer 3 hostage, so I did what any reasonable person would do: I cut together a little something from the footage we already have and mashed it up with a bunch of my favorite Florida crime flicks. It's basically a love letter to the neon-drenched, sweat-soaked, synth-scored world that Vice City lives in.

The edit pulls from movies and shows that feel like they're baked into the DNA of the trailers. Miami Vice (both the series and the 2006 movie) obviously, Scarface, Carlito's Way, Wild Things, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Bad Boys, Heat, True Lies, Cape Fear, True Romance, even Fast Five. Every scene I picked made me go "yep, that's straight out of a GTA mission" or "that's exactly the Jason and Lucia energy."

I set the whole thing to Foreigner's "Urgent" because it's got that perfect 80s pulse and honestly, it just works. The edit's not some leak or anything, just a fan thing I threw together while waiting for Rockstar to give us something new. If you're looking for a movie night list that'll get you in the Leonida mood, the films I used are a solid starting point.

Anyway, hope it scratches the itch a little. November can't come soon enough.

That's the kind of coping mechanism I respect. Trailer 3's absence is rough, but cutting existing footage with Heat and Carlito's Way actually maps out what Rockstar's probably aiming for in Leonida's mission structure.

It reminds me of how Three Leaf Clover in GTA IV was basically a love letter to Heat down to the hockey masks, or how Vice City's The Job lifted that sweaty bank vault tension straight from the Michael Mann playbook. If GTA 6 delivers even half that cinematic weight in its heist design, I'm clearing my calendar for a 100% story run the week of November 19.

Nice touch with Foreigner too. Synth pulse beats silence.

You got 2 Fast 2 Furious in there but I'm only waiting for Trailer 3 to show REAL drift mechanics and widebody kits.

Nice to see Wild Things in the mix. That swampy humidity vibe might map closer to Grassrivers than Vice City proper. I'm mostly curious if the footage holds up when you slow it to Foreigner's tempo. Does Jason's gait seem artificially smooth at half speed, or do you catch the engine maybe trying to blend animations?

ok so that Foreigner tempo is going to be genius and it's going to expose every weird animation blend all at once. i need to see this!

That north-south humidity split across Leonida is exactly the kind of regional detail I'm hoping Trailer 3 finally maps out.
