12 new screenshots put the GTA 6 cars side by side with the real ones
Insider Gaming picked up on a social post that lines up six GTA 6 vehicles against their real-world counterparts across 12 screenshots. The whole point of the comparison is the detail on the cars, and from the sound of it the models hold up way better than you'd expect when you see them next to the actual thing.
I've always thought vehicle modelling is one of those things Rockstar quietly nails while everyone's busy arguing about the map. You spend half the game behind a windscreen, so a bad car pulls you out of it instantly. Badges, panel gaps, the way the light rolls off a fender. It's the stuff you don't notice until it's wrong.
why this gets me more hyped than a story trailer
We've had two trailers and the Extended Look, and they're all built to sell you a mood. Screenshots of cars sitting next to the real deal are a different kind of flex. It's the dev saying look at the geometry, look at the trim. That's confidence.
If the traffic in Leonida looks this sharp, imagine what the hero cars are going to be like. I'm already thinking about what I'll be driving down the Keys at sunset, and I haven't even seen half the roster yet.
Twelve screenshots, six cars, and a bunch of fans zooming in on grilles like they're solving a crime.
Also, fair warning to myself: comparing game cars to real ones is a trap. Once you start looking for the little liberties Rockstar took with the designs, you can't stop. Some of those fictional badges are going to be hilarious though.
what I want to know
- Do the interiors actually get this much love or is it all exterior glamour shots?
- How many of these six end up being the ones everyone drives in the first week?
- Are the engine sounds going to match the effort on the models?
November 19 isn't that far off now, and every one of these little detail drops makes the wait feel longer and shorter at the same time. Which car from the comparison are you actually going to hunt down first in-game?
