Zelnick's fitness advice is out, and honestly the sleep part got me

So GameSpot ran a piece on Strauss Zelnick talking health stuff with Business Insider, and it's the usual mix of obvious and actually interesting. Dude wrote a book called Becoming Ageless back in 2018 and apparently sits at 8% body fat, which, sure, whatever, he's a rich guy with a trainer. But the actual advice he gives is way more boring than you'd expect and I kind of respect it.
His number one thing is don't smoke. Says it's the factor most correlated with a short and miserable life. Then don't abuse booze or drugs, which he calls the two biggest predictors of a bad old age or no old age at all. Real uplifting stuff.
The exercise bar is lower than you'd think
He says just get some movement in. Walking 30 minutes four or five days a week does it. He goes way harder because fitness is his hobby but flat out says you don't need to. Diet is the same deal, eat responsibly, don't go insane with it, just don't crush garbage food constantly.
Sleep is where he got my attention. Seven hours a night. Under six and you're making bad calls, personal and professional, and he says the math backs that up. As someone who's been running on five hours because of a certain game that's out in two weeks, I felt that one.
The rest
He also says you need people you love and a community around you, some kind of emotional or spiritual life. And he pushed back on peptides, which are apparently huge in fitness circles and barely regulated. He's friends with Bryan Johnson, the billionaire trying to live forever, but doesn't buy into that whole program.
"If you're getting less than six hours of sleep a night, you're making bad decisions; that's what the math says."
There's also a weird aside in the piece about his former doctor Peter Attia and the Epstein files, which, uh, is a sentence I wasn't expecting in a fitness article. Not touching that one.
Anyway. Not GTA news exactly, but it's the guy who owns Rockstar telling us to sleep and walk more, and with November 19 sitting right there and 212GB of game waiting to eat my week, I'm probably going to ignore all of it and mainline the campaign at 3am like an idiot. Maybe I'll take the walk advice after launch. Maybe.
