shrek 2 remastered gets a gta 6 style trailer and i can't stop laughing

Insider Gaming is reporting that Shrek 2 Remastered briefly appeared on the Xbox store, and alongside that a GTA 6-inspired announcement trailer has started floating around online. I don't know who decided Shrek needed the Vice City treatment but I respect it.

We're less than five weeks out from GTA 6 dropping on November 19 and the marketing has been so distinct that other games are now borrowing the vibe. The slow pans, the neon, the dramatic voiceover. Shrek in a Hawaiian shirt doing a heist with Donkey as his Jason equivalent. It writes itself.

I'm not saying this is official or anything. It's probably just a fan edit or a weird marketing stunt for the remaster. But the fact that GTA 6's trailer format is recognizable enough to parody says a lot about how much Rockstar has defined this console generation's hype cycle.

Would you actually play a Shrek 2 remaster if it leaned into the GTA open world thing, or is this just a meme that'll be forgotten by launch day?
