4 months out and I'm already bracing for crunch and cut content
Time is the one thing Rockstar can't out-develop. No amount of polish or budget stops the clock. We're sitting here with 4 months left until November 19 and I can't shake the feeling that the studio is in absolute chaos right now. Not the bad kind, just the inevitable kind where every department is pushing to the limit.
Crunch is probably off the charts. I know they said they've improved working conditions since the RDR2 days, but come on. A game this size, this close to launch? There's no way people aren't sleeping under desks again. The pressure to hit that date after all the delays has to be insane.
What really gets me is the cut content. RDR2 had so much stuff left on the floor, entire areas and mechanics that dataminers found later. GTA 6 is gonna be the same. There's probably a whiteboard somewhere with features that'll never see the light of day because the deadline is breathing down their necks. I'm not asking for a perfect game, I just hope the stuff that gets the axe isn't the stuff that would've made it special.
I'm hyped, don't get me wrong. But the closer we get, the more I think about what's being sacrificed to make that date. The clock doesn't care about our wishlists.

There's probably half-finished systems lurking in the build that could glitch out in weird ways. Might be worth testing at launch.
