Read through the translated Famitsu interview with Rob Nelson and there's a bunch of stuff in there that hasn't been covered much elsewhere. A few things stood out to me.

First, the store robbery example he gave. You can approach through the back, use a snap gun to pick the lock instead of kicking the door down, then take out security cameras and disable the alarm system before quietly emptying the register. If you leave without being seen, nobody even knows it happened. That's a much more methodical approach than just walking in with a gun. I like that they're giving us options for how to handle even small crimes.

Then there's suppressive fire. You can deliberately shoot near someone to scare or confuse them without actually hitting them. The idea is to give players a way to escape without killing cops or civilians. That's a pretty big shift for a series where running over pedestrians is basically a pastime. I'm curious how it'll actually work in practice, like if the AI reacts differently to near misses or if it's just a visual thing.

Gun storage is getting a nice upgrade too. You can stash weapons in the trunk of any car, not just your personal vehicle, and you can discard them on the spot without permanently losing them. They'll always be either in your personal vehicle trunk or at the Ammu-Nation armory. That solves the old problem of dropping a gun and never seeing it again.

Carjacking is getting a new interaction. Sometimes you can just shout at an NPC to get out of the car instead of dragging them out. But it won't always work, and they might even shoot at you. That adds a bit of unpredictability to a mechanic we've all done a thousand times.

He also mentioned thousands of outfits, more character customization than ever, and a huge variety in NPC height and body shape. The workout system sounds like it has a stamina management element where you have to complete a set before your stamina runs out, and moving too fast strains your body. Could be interesting or could get annoying fast.

Overall this interview gives me hope they're adding depth without making everything tedious. The suppressive fire thing especially feels like a step toward letting you play less murderously if you want, which is a direction I didn't expect from Rockstar.

The shout carjacking is the number I want. "It won't always work" means there's a probability, and probabilities are countable.

The silent robbery route is the interesting one for me. No witnesses, no wanted level, no escape time eating into your loop. In GTAO a store hit pays like $1,000 to $3,000, so the question is register size. If these pay out better and you can chain them back to back with zero heat, that beats the old hit-and-flee cycle on pure dollars per minute. Depends entirely on the payout and any cooldown.
