Saw the TGG breakdown and there's a lot here that changes how combat is going to feel. The big one for me is enemies no longer appear on the minimap during fights. We already knew police wouldn't show up there, but now regular enemies are gone too. That's going to make shootouts way more tense.

Jason and Lucia can physically hand weapons to each other. So if one of them has a rifle and the other needs it, you can just pass it over instead of dropping it on the ground. That's a small thing but it'll matter for switching characters mid mission.

Free aim is the default now, with some stickiness left in and adjustable through settings. GTA 5's strong lock-on is mostly gone. Long guns can be stored in any vehicle, but only your personal vehicle keeps the full loadout persistently. Temporary cars won't hold onto stuff.

NPC reactions depend on how you carry weapons. A long gun on your back generally won't cause problems. Holding one in your hands can make people move away. Police might give you a warning, and it escalates if you're holding it ready to fire. So walking around with a rifle out is a bad idea.

Hit markers are color coded now. White for a normal hit, yellow when an enemy is incapacitated, red when they're dead. You can always carry two concealed handguns plus up to two long guns. Only one long gun goes on your back, the second has to be in your hand. That's a real limitation.

Weapons have noticeably more recoil and impact compared to GTA 5. Assault rifles needed controlled bursts and tap firing to stay accurate in the preview. Kill cams can be disabled, and weapon quick swapping is back. Crouching lets you strafe while moving, cover is still R1 on PlayStation, and shoulder switching returns from RDR2.

You can also customize your default movement speed, like a normal walk or a faster jog. That's a nice quality of life thing.

What do you all think about enemies not showing on the minimap? I feel like that's going to change how people approach every gunfight.
