Well that just hit different than I expected. Rockstar finally revealed the official cover art for GTA VI, and yeah — it's giving exactly the vibe we've been waiting for.

What we're looking at

The cover features Lucia and Jason front and center, and the whole composition really leans into that Vice City neon-drenched aesthetic we saw in the trailers. It's bold, it's colorful, and it absolutely screams Leonida.

If you want it for your wallpaper or desktop background, Rockstar's got downloadable versions up at rockstargames.com/VI — already grabbed mine, not gonna lie.

Pre-order reminder

This also comes with the confirmation that pre-orders officially go live June 25 across digital storefronts and select retailers. Standard Edition runs $79.99, Ultimate Edition is $99.99, and if you pre-order you get the Vintage Vice City Pack as a bonus.

Two protagonists, one cover, zero doubts about what this game is aiming for.

Something about seeing the actual cover art makes November 19 feel both closer and further away at the same time. Like it's real now — not just trailers and speculation, but an actual product with box art and pre-order pages.

What's your take on the art direction they went with?

Look at the positioning though. Lucia forward, Jason slightly behind. That's not accidental composition — that's hierarchy. And the neon... always the neon. Vice City's cover had the sunset gradient. This? Pure electric. Something shifted in how they want us seeing Leonida.

Also notice what's missing from the background elements compared to V's cover. V had the full character lineup scattered throughout. This is contained. Controlled. They're showing us exactly what they want us to see and nothing more.

The real question is what that negative space is hiding.

Peep the rides flanking them in the background though — that silhouette on the left is giving me classic Miami muscle vibes, and if Rockstar's leaning that hard into the neon, you already know the tuner scene is about to eat. Vice City car meets hitting different under those lights.

That negative space is hiding.

Probably a whole garage's worth of custom builds they don't want spoiled yet. V's cover gave away half the supporting cast in the background — this time they're keeping the fleet under wraps. Smart. Let's us spec ourselves into a frenzy about what engine swaps are on the table.
