I've been as frustrated as anyone with the radio silence. Pre-orders opened and we got... a blog post. No trailer 3, no screenshots, just the same two trailers on loop in my brain. But after Strauss basically said they'll ramp up closer to launch, I started thinking about how this might actually play out.

Late August or early September, they're gonna flip a switch. Trailer 3 drops, then every other week it's something new. Billboards start popping up in real cities, screenshots flood social media, maybe a gameplay trailer, then the launch trailer right before November 19. A two-month blitz that saturates everything.

It's not like the casual audience is refreshing the Newswire every day anyway. My friends are definitely buying it, but they haven't watched a single analysis video or debated the map layout. They'll see a TV spot during a football game or a YouTube ad and that's their entire pre-launch exposure. Rockstar knows the hardcore fans will dissect every pixel regardless, so why waste money keeping us fed for a year when they can own the entire conversation for 8 weeks?

Our attention spans are fried. A short, intense campaign right before release probably converts more pre-orders than a slow drip over 12 months. By the time the game's out, nobody's gonna remember this drought. We'll all be too busy arguing about whether the driving feels better than GTA V.

What's the one thing you'd want to see in that first big September drop, a story trailer or raw gameplay?
