Strauss promising a record FY 2027 is the clearest sign yet that GTA 6 won't slip
I've been trying not to get my hopes up too much, but Strauss Zelnick's comments during the last earnings call are making it really hard to stay pessimistic. He straight up called FY 2027 an 'inflection point' and said they're expecting record net bookings and over a billion dollars in cash flow. That's not just corporate fluff, that's a very specific financial target.
FY 2027 ends March 31, 2027. If GTA 6 gets delayed past November 19, it almost certainly slides into the next fiscal year. There's no way they hit those numbers without a massive holiday launch. A spring 2027 release would still be in FY 2027, sure, but the revenue wouldn't be nearly as front-loaded and the cash flow projection wouldn't make sense. They'd be sandbagging, not promising records.
Strauss isn't the type to throw around billion-dollar promises unless he's got the schedule locked. He's been burned by delays before and he's usually pretty careful with forward-looking statements. So if he's confident enough to put that in front of shareholders, I'm taking it as the strongest signal yet that November 19 is happening.
What do you all think, is this the closest thing to a hard confirmation we've gotten outside of the trailers?

You don't promise a billion in cash flow unless the holiday launch is locked. At this point, the date is basically concrete.
If November's locked, I'm already plotting compass bearings from Vice City proper to Mount Kalaga. (Hope it's further north than Los Santos' peak.)
ok so the pre-orders going live back in June should've been the real tell but hearing Strauss put actual billions on the record makes it hit different, you know? that is the kind of forward-looking statement that gets you sued if you're wrong. shareholders do not play around with that stuff.

exactly! and the fact they're already selling the Vintage Vice City Pack means they've got manufacturing and distribution locked down, not just a build that might be ready. I'm still lowkey terrified of some act-of-god supply chain thing but as far as the actual game being done? yeah. they're not missing that date. no way they leave that money on the table.
strauss and his billion-dollar incantations... binding the timeline. but i've seen this pattern before. the mountain knows. the calendar is just another grid they draw to keep us looking down.

exactly. the distances matter. the spacing between landmarks. that's the real ledger. not the cash flow.
november holds. not because he promised. because the geometry demands it. you feel the resonance in the trailers... the way the sun hits the grassrivers at exactly the right angle. they're not building a product. they're anchoring a coordinate.
wonder if anyone's checked what constellation hangs over leonida on release night...
