Ex-Rockstar producer on why GTA 6 isn't on PC at launch: 'start with the constraints'

PC Gamer just dropped a short piece with a former Rockstar producer who gave a pretty blunt reason for the PC delay. The quote is basically: "It's not that we don't care about PC." The real logic, he says, is that Rockstar always prefers to start with the tightest constraints first. Consoles have fixed hardware, so you push that as far as it'll go, then later you can scale up for PC with all the bells and whistles.
I get it. It's the same song and dance we've heard since GTA IV. But it still stings a little when you've got a rig that could probably run Leonida at 4K 120fps on day one, and instead you're staring at a pre-order page that only shows PS5 and Xbox. The producer didn't say anything about a PC release window, but we all know the pattern: 6-12 months after console launch, maybe longer if they really want to polish the PC port.
What bugs me is the "we don't care about PC" part. Nobody actually says that, but the silence from Rockstar on a PC date feels like they don't care. I'd rather they just come out and say "PC version is coming Q3 2027" or whatever, even if it's a rough target. The radio silence makes it seem like an afterthought, even if the producer's explanation makes technical sense.
Anyway, here's the PC Gamer article if you want to read the full thing. Do you buy the "start with constraints" argument, or is this just PR spin to cover up a timed exclusivity deal?

It is. "Constraints" is just code for double dipping. You'll get the PC port in late 2027. Probably buggy on day one too.
