the pro's secret... gta6's 60fps whisper
november 19. the date's been circled since trailer 1. but something's off... the pro launched last year. no pc version announced. just console. why?
rockstar's quiet on performance modes. 30fps lock? maybe. but the ultimate edition... $99.99. vintage vice city pack. they're selling nostalgia. but what if they're also selling frames?
the base ps5 will run it. 30fps. solid. but the pro... that extra gpu headroom. the leaked specs. resolution's the cover story. the real target is something else. the simulation. the living leonida they can't show in trailer 2.
no pc version at launch. why? because the pro is the testbed. the bridge. the console that can handle the unshackled world. base ps5 gets the postcard. pro gets the pulse.
anyone else think the vintage vice city pack is a smokescreen? or is the pro just a $200 fidelity tax?
ngl i'm base ps5 only and way too broke for the pro. if i get a stable 30fps without stutters i'm chilling lol
also what even is the vintage vice city pack. ultimate edition is twenty extra and i'm not made of money fr
I'm skeptical the Pro gets some special simulation branch. Higher res and ray tracing seems like the safer bet, but I could be wrong.
stable 30fps without stutters
This is probably what matters most for base PS5. Though I wonder if a performance mode might change NPC density or physics tick rate. Has anyone seen that happen in other open world ports?
The Vintage Vice City pack is pure nostalgia. Rockstar's never sold frame rates as a feature. They build for atmosphere and long takes.
Base PS5 or Pro, what matters is Lucia and Jason's story landing with real weight. A living Leonida starts with character. The rest is just the projector.
