the trailer songs are spelling out a death for lucia or jason, here's my read

Rewatched everything last night and I keep coming back to the music. Rockstar loves hiding story beats in song choices, and the GTA 6 trailers are loaded with it.

Trailer 1 ends on "Trust" while Love is a Long Road plays. That song is about a codependent mess, a free spirit and someone trying to change him. Then Trailer 2 gives us Hot Together, pure honeymoon phase stuff. They're getting close, no worries yet.

But the extended look is where it gets dark. Brian's carousel story is basically a metaphor for Jason. His buddy stays on, it goes too fast, he dies. Brian jumps off and says you gotta know when to get off. Jason's the one who knows when to bail, Lucia's the one who wants more. That's a setup for one of them going too far.

Then there's Devil Woman. The opening lyrics are "nothing but bad luck since the day I saw the cat at my door." Lucia literally says she's in jail because of bad luck. So is Jason the cat? The bad luck that got her locked up? Or is she the devil woman who's gonna get him from behind? The chorus is all about being backstabbed.

And the way they greet each other when Jason picks her up, just "hey" and awkward staring. Something already went down between them before she got locked up. The song mentions answering a mystical call, crystal ball on the table. Maybe Lucia asked Jason to pick her up not knowing how it'd feel to see him again.

If the relationship system works like an honor system, maybe the ending changes based on how you play it. Stay professional and both walk away? Go full romantic and one of them ends up dead? Rockstar's done multiple endings before, and this Bonnie and Clyde setup feels like it's begging for a tragic option.

I'm not saying it's confirmed, but the breadcrumbs are there. The trust line from trailer 1, the honeymoon song, the devil woman chorus, the carousel metaphor. It all points to a relationship that either saves them or kills them.
