map shifted left, could there be islands we haven't seen yet
Been staring at the map again and something's bugging me. The whole thing looks shifted way left and top. Like there's a big empty chunk in the bottom right coordinate square that just sits there. If the map was meant to end at Vice City and the Keys, why leave all that space?
Earlier screenshots had people talking about Puerto Rico and other islands. And honestly, with how close the Bahamas and Cuba are to Miami, it'd be weird for Rockstar to just ignore them. Leonida is supposed to be Florida, but the Caribbean is right there.
Some of the early map data people have been digging through might only show part of the map. What if the islands don't open up until later chapters? That would explain the shift. The mainland is what we see now, and the rest unlocks as the story moves. Rockstar has done gated map areas before, so it's not crazy.
The bottom right being empty bugs me though. If there's nothing there, why not center the map better? Unless they're hiding something. A Cuba analogue, maybe a smaller island chain, something that shows up after a certain mission.
I keep going back and forth. Part of me thinks it's just how the coordinate system lines up and I'm overthinking it. The other part remembers how much Rockstar loves a late game map surprise.
Do you think there's an island chain waiting to unlock, or is the map just laid out weird and we're reading too much into empty space?
