horses in gta 6, i think rockstar might actually do it this time
Been thinking about this since the Extended Look dropped. RDR2's horses are still the best in any game, and we all know GTA 6 is running on a heavily upgraded version of that engine. You can see it in how Jason moves and interacts with stuff, the petting the dog moment, the little contextual prompts like hurrying Lucia along. It's all RDR2 DNA.
GTA V actually had a horse planned at one point. There was that cut Sharmoota Job at Madrazo's place where a horse was supposed to be involved, but it got scrapped. People always assumed the horse mechanics just weren't good enough back then. But now? RDR2 nailed it. If they wanted to, they could drop horses into GTA 6 and they'd work perfectly.
Southern Florida is full of horse farms and racing tracks. Ocala is basically horse country. So it wouldn't feel out of place at all. You could have a ranch in Grassrivers or something, ride around the Keys. It'd be a nice change from always stealing cars.
I think Rockstar will add them, but probably not as a core mechanic. More like a side activity or a novelty. Maybe a few missions involve horses, maybe you can buy one and stable it. But they won't make it the focus like RDR2. Still, if they do, people will be comparing every horse game to GTA 6 for the next decade. That's a flex Rockstar would enjoy.

Only buying one if the stable fees are lower than my bunker upkeep. Rockstar will find a way to charge $7,500 a day in horse feed, watch.
