what i expect gta 6 to lose from v
Saw a thread on the main sub about what GTA VI might actually drop from V, and it got me thinking. Rockstar has a habit of cutting stuff between games even when the new one is bigger overall. GTA IV lost the underwater world from San Andreas, you couldn't fly planes at all, the fitness and weight system vanished, car mods were barely there. Then V dropped the six star wanted level, the police computer from IV, and the dating/friendship stuff got gutted. So yeah, not everything carries over.
For VI, the obvious one is no third protagonist. Losing the character switching mechanic from V is the real change there. LS Customs as a brand probably won't show up in Vice City either, even though car customization itself is confirmed to be more detailed. The special abilities from V are gone too. Both Lucia and Jason get focus mode instead, which is useful but kind of flattens the individual flavor Michael, Franklin, and Trevor each had.
The stock market is the one I genuinely think might be cut. We haven't seen any clear sign of it in the trailers or the extended look, and it never made it into GTA Online. It was always a weird half feature in V anyway, useful for the assassination missions and then pointless after. I'd be surprised if they bring it back unless they tie it into the story more.
Everything else I can think of is already accounted for. Flying all kinds of stuff, swimming, diving, working out, watching TV, opening convertible roofs, shooting ranges, car customization. Side activities will rotate like they always do, bowling out and something else in. That's just how these games work.
I'm not too bothered about losing the stock market honestly. It never felt essential to me in V, and if focus mode ends up being more useful than the old special abilities, that's a fair trade.

Going by the list above, IV dropped four features from San Andreas and V dropped three from IV. The stock market would be a reasonable candidate for VI's list.
LS Customs as a name means nothing to me. It's Vice City, of course the shop gets a new badge. What matters is what's behind the roller door. Customization's supposed to go deeper this time and that's ALL I care about. Give me proper engine swaps stance options and real drift setups and the shop can be called whatever they want.
The cut that actually stings is Franklin's ability. Slow-mo driving was the best of the three by a mile. Threading traffic at full speed NEVER got old. Focus mode sounds useful but it won't feel the same from behind the wheel.
Stock market can go though. Never touched it after the Lester missions. That's menu gameplay. I'd trade it for a deeper dyno tune screen in half a second.
