The more I think about the trailers, the more I wonder how Rockstar is handling mission scope this time. GTA 5 had a habit of going way over the top. Remember that mission where Franklin grabs a motorcycle and suddenly there's a full on shootout in the middle of the street? The wanted system just doesn't exist for it. And Trevor, half his stuff is pure chaos. Fun for sure, but as a story it's pretty exaggerated.

I'm not asking for every mission to be realistic in the sense of obeying traffic laws or staying inside the lines. I just want the story beats to stay within a believable scope. GTA 6 has a different atmosphere, the two protagonist setup and the whole Leonida setting feel more like a crime drama than a cartoon. You can still have wild gunfights and heists, but they should feel earned, not just thrown in because the wanted system is off.

I think Rockstar will lean more realistic this time around. The tone they've shown so far doesn't really fit the Trevor style chaos. They'll probably keep the classic GTA entertainment, just with a tighter leash on the absurdity.

Counted the set pieces across both trailers. Trailer 1: one store stickup (1:18), one airboat pursuit, one bodycam raid (0:47). Trailer 2: one bank job (1:13), one chase with Lucia firing from the car. That's 258 seconds of footage and nothing hits the scale of GTA 5's FIB stuff. Small sample, but so far it's all street level crime.
