small gun animations, one handed or two handed?

Been thinking about this since the RDR2 days. In GTA V everyone holds pistols the same way, two hands, like they all went to the same academy. Cops, gangsters, mercs, doesn't matter. It always bugged me a little.

RDR2 had that one handed style for revolvers and it felt so much more natural for certain characters. Arthur drawing and fanning the hammer, Micah's weird grip, it gave personality. I really hope GTA 6 doesn't just copy the GTA V animation for every NPC and both protagonists.

Ideally there'd be a choice. One handed for quicker aim and faster fire rate, two handed for accuracy and recoil control. That would actually change how you approach gunfights. Lucia could default to one handed, Jason to two, or maybe it depends on the weapon class. A snub nose revolver should feel different from a full size pistol.

I know it's a small thing but these details are what make Rockstar games feel alive. If every cop in Vice City holds their Glock the exact same way as a gangbanger in Port Gellhorn, it's gonna feel lazy. They already showed off different walking styles in the trailers, so I'm hopeful they put the same care into weapon handling.

Not expecting a full animation overhaul like RDR2's weapon familiarity system, but even a simple toggle would be nice. Or just make it contextual. Cops two hand, street criminals one hand, military two hand. That alone would add a ton of flavor without much work.

Anyway, three months until we see actual gameplay. If the extended look shows Lucia holding a pistol one handed I'll be happy. If it's the same GTA V grip, I'll still play the hell out of it but I'll be a little disappointed.
