both trailers and the promo shots might be showing the prologue
I tried posting this theory a year ago and it got removed for being low effort, so here's attempt number two. I've been staring at the trailer frames and the promo screenshots from Trailer 2, and I'm pretty convinced both trailers are dropping little pieces of the prologue mission.
Remember the convenience store robbery in Trailer 1? Lucia and Jason hit the place, and it immediately turns into a high speed chase. They can't shake the cops in the car, so they end up on a boat. That's the part where Trailer 2 picks up. Lucia is shooting at a police helicopter from that same boat. The Trailer 2 key art even shows the helicopter and the boat with bullet holes all over it.
After the boat, they make it to the docks and hide out at a nearby motel. The cops lose them for a bit. Then halfway through Trailer 2 there's a quick frame of someone helping Lucia climb out of a motel window, and she's still wearing the same outfit from the robbery. So the cops catch up to them again.
What gets me is the little details from the screenshots. The ankle monitor, the safehouse, the clothes. It all lines up with Lucia being fresh out of prison or off house arrest. My guess is this mission happens right after she finishes her community service hours. The robbery could be to pay off someone, to fund a fresh start, or just to kick off the plot. If it's not the prologue, it's definitely a mission somewhere in the game.
I don't think Rockstar would show this much of one sequence across two trailers and the promo art unless it mattered. They usually hide the opening pretty well, but maybe this time they're giving us the setup without the context.
What do you all think, is this the prologue or just a random early mission?
