What if the extended look ends with a series announcement?

I know we're all counting down to the 27th, and I can't shake this feeling that Rockstar's got something extra planned. The extended look is premiering on Netflix first, which already feels like a weird flex. What if they're using that platform to tease something bigger?

I started thinking... what if at the end of the event, they announce a GTA series? Not a movie, but an actual show set in Leonida. Maybe an anthology where each episode follows different people across the state. You'd get these self-contained stories about the chaos in Vice City, the weirdness out in the Grassrivers, the small-town drama in Port Gellhorn. And here's the kicker: some of those characters could then pop up in the game as strangers and freaks missions. It'd be a cool way to build out the world before we even get our hands on it.

I'm not saying it's likely, but Rockstar's been pushing transmedia stuff with the Netflix deal and all the social media marketing Zelnick keeps talking about. A series would fit right in. What do you think? Would you actually watch a GTA series, or would it feel like a distraction from the game? And if they did it, what kind of stories would you want to see?
