How deep do you think the romance system between Lucia and Jason will go?

Rockstar keeps saying they want to push the needle with GTA 6, and after seeing what they did with RDR2's camp interactions and the little character moments, I'm really curious how they'll handle the Bonnie and Clyde dynamic between Lucia and Jason. We know they're a couple, but what does that actually mean for gameplay?

I'm a sucker for romance in games. Mass Effect, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, even The Sims. So I've been thinking about what kind of systems they might build around these two. Not just cutscenes, but actual mechanics.

Like, will there be dating mini-games? Taking Lucia out somewhere, buying her a gift, that kind of thing. Could you cheat on her and have it affect the story? Maybe an affection meter that changes dialogue or mission outcomes. Can you just go back to the safehouse and give her a kiss whenever, or is that stuff all scripted?

And what about the physical side. If there's a gym system and Jason gets jacked, does Lucia comment on it? Or if you let him get fat and grow out a crazy beard, does she start acting different. RDR2 had weight and hair growth, so it's not a stretch to think GTA 6 will too. Would be a nice touch if the relationship reacts to that stuff.

I'm also wondering how explicit they'll go. Rockstar's never been shy, but a full-on romance system with branching paths and emotional beats could be something else. I hope it's a genuine love story that makes you feel something, not just a backdrop for the action. But who knows, maybe they'll lean more into the crime chaos and keep the romance light.

What do you all think? Any features you're hoping for?

Romance mini-games? Hard pass. I'd rather spend that time in the garage swapping a V8 into some rusty shitbox or testing a new drift tune. Lucia riding shotgun while I'm clipping apexes? That's the real relationship mechanic. Keep the cutscenes short and let me gift her a set of coilovers instead of flowers. Rockstar better have DEEP customization. That's the love language.

"Romance mini-games? Hard pass."

One date night eats two Cayo cooldowns. That's $3M in lost profit.

God, what a way to miss the point. If Lucia and Jason are just two HUD icons sharing a car, the whole Bonnie and Clyde thing falls flat.

I'm hoping for tension you feel in the quiet moments. The way they look at each other in the May trailer after the job goes sideways. That stuff lands harder than any gift shop mini-game.

Don't need elaborate systems. Just let their dialogue shift after a rough mission. Let them fight in the safehouse, or sit in silence on the drive back. That's when the action actually means something.
